It has been learnt from sources that Cary Joji Fukunaga, best known for directing the critically acclaimed American TV show True Detective, will be in Mumbai to attend a film festival.

It has been learnt from sources that Cary Joji Fukunaga, best known for directing the critically acclaimed American TV show True Detective, will be in Mumbai to attend a film festival.
While the organisers are keeping the development strictly under wraps, we have learnt that the top brass from the film festival spoke with the acclaimed American director, who has confirmed his presence at the film festival.

A source said that the director had always wanted to visit India and will also be hosting a Master Class. Fukunaga won a Primetime Emmy for Direction for the first season of True Detective. He also wrote, directed, and shot the critically acclaimed war-drama Beasts of No Nation that earned several nominations at major award ceremonies.
